Today, on the death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, I take an oath that I will encourage people with symptoms of suspected leprosy to come to the nearest health center. I will also make sure that if he has Leprosy, I will help him to get the complete treatment.

If in my view there is a Leprosy patient in my family, neighborhood and society, then I will not discriminate against him in sitting, eating, roaming around.

I also take this oath that I will always try to prevent social discrimination against the person suffering from Leprosy.

I also take this oath that on the death anniversary of Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, I will always strive for his dream of a Leprosy free India.

मै आज राष्ट्रीय पिता महात्मागांधी के पुण्यतिथि पर शपथ लेता हूँ कि मै संदेहास्पद कुष्ट रोग के लक्षण बाले व्यक्ति को नजदीकी स्वास्थ्य केंद्र में आने के लिये प्रेरित करूँगा। मै यह भी सुनिचित करूँगा की अगर उसे कुष्ट रोग है तो उसे पूरा इलाज करवाने में मदद करूँगा।

अगर मेरी नजर में मेरे परिवार, पड़ोस और समाज में कोई कुष्ट रोग का मरीज है तो में उसके साथ बैठने खाने, घुमाने, फिरने पर किसी प्रकार का भेदभाव नहीं करूँगा।

मै यह भी शपथ लेता हूँ कि में कुष्टरोग पीड़ित व्यक्ति के साथ सामाजिक भेदभाव के रोकथाम के लिए सदा प्रयत्नशील रहूँगा।

मै यह भी शपथ लेता हूँ कि में राष्ट्रीय पिता महात्मा गांधी के पुण्यतिथि में उनका सपना कुष्टमुक्त भारत के लिए सदा प्रयत्नशील रहूँगा।
